We were up against some tough contenders in this years Master Builders Housing and Construction awards! We are so thrilled to take away the award for Best Residential Bathroom for the Sorrento Residence. This custom home in Port Douglas is deceiving from the outside but once your through the custom-designed large pivot cor-ten gate, its clear there’s a lot more on offer.
Oversized, organically shaped eco-stepper pavers, lead you along the covered walkway to the entry courtyard complete with large pond water feature. Raw finishes include earthy off-form burnished concrete renders both internally and externally, hardwood timber screening & Cor-ten steel accents.
The inside of the home, the large atrium in the centre of the space showcases the elaborate seven-metre height, off-form concrete ceilings & open plan living spaces.
The award-winning bathroom is very private extending along a cleverly designed louvered walkway off the master suite. It features his & her basins, separated by the entrance to the large walk in robe. Continue along the walkway to reach the double shower and toilet with packet sliding doors to seamlessly flow into the gorgeous outdoor bath area.
